The Spanish holding company Soficu Group continues its expansion in the Dominican Republic. Following the opening of the Soficu Hotel Edén, located in Bayahíbe, the group has now opened the Soficu Hotel On The Beach, also in Bayahíbe.
The opening of these two hotels is part of the Spanish holding company’s clear commitment to the Dominican Republic, where the group has also opened clinics, skin care centers, clothing stores, buggy rental services, and restaurants such as Soficu Perla Blue. Soficu Group is a multidisciplinary company founded by Dr. Gabriel Serrano, who also founded the Dr. Gabriel Serrano Foundation in the Caribbean country, a non-profit organization that promotes improved health and education for underprivileged Dominicans.
According to Soficu Group, the hotels opened by the company in Bayahíbe are committed to sustainability and the local community, integrating eco-friendly practices and collaborating with local suppliers to promote the region’s economic development.
It’s worth noting that Bayahíbe is located on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic, in the province of La Altagracia—the same province where Punta Cana is located. In addition to its paradisiacal beaches, Bayahíbe is known for being the departure point for tourist excursion boats to the two Dominican gems of Catalina Island and Saona Island.
